Lame IMDb humor

So, the other night I couldn’t sleep because I’d dozed off for an hour or so earlier in the evening while watching TV. I wound up watching one of the TCM films I’d DVRed, The Misfits with Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe (the final completed film for both).

So, much to my surprise, about halfway through the film, there’s a scene where Monroe’s character runs over to Gable’s character, who has just collapsed, and kneels down beside him. And, I kid you not, oops, her bosoms come flying out.

It’s only for a split second, and you pretty much have to already have been watching her bouncing bosoms to notice it (yep), but nevertheless, I was surprised when I looked later to see that it is not mentioned on IMDb as a goof, even though other websites point out that it clearly (a) happened and (b) was unintentional, given that a different scene of her bosoms was cut from the film.

So, I want to add this to the “goofs” page for the movie, but I don’t know whether to list it as <snerk> “Crew/Equipment Visible” or <snerk> a “Revealing Mistake.”

FWIW, I eventually wound up submitting it as “Miscellaneous.”

Long long ago, I spent hours single-frame forwarding through a laserdisc copy of *Who Framed Roger Rabbit *because somebody told me that Jessica Rabbit’s, er, “deal” became visible in one frame. Even then, I was pathetic …

You think there are men in this country who ain’t seen her bosoms? (Continuing your A League of their Own reference. :D) Anyway, Mr. Skin has it cataloged. I don’t have a membership but the tooltip revealed: If the dress mis-fits… Mar-o leans over a guy on the ground, and her right rotunda busts out of her dress. Now that’s a true “wardrobe malfunction” At the 1 hour, 12 minute mark…

Could it be that TCM was showing a directors cut and that the users of IMDb were reporting on some other cut?
