In other Vegas show news: The long running drag show, La Cage, was just closed abruptly; Mamma Mia closed at Mandalay Bay, to be replaced by Lion King soon; Danny Gans moved from Mirage to the new Wynn hotel, Encore, and Terry Fator has taken over the theater in Mirage where Gans used to perform.
“Les Folies Bergere,” the topless revue at the Tropicana hotel-casino and a Las Vegas institution, ended its nearly half-century Las Vegas run, leaving only JUBILEE! at Bally’s as the last of the Las Vegas variety/showgirls topless reviews (and one of the best shows on the Strip in my humble opinion)…if it ever closes, that will be the last of the “old Las Vegas” shows.
