Last Night's Simpsons -The five hole

During last night’s Simpsons someone broke the ‘no talking while the TV is on’ rule and I am uncertain if I heard a line right.
When Lisa was talking to Kovalev, did she tell him that you could fit Ric Flair through the goalie’s five hole?

The Five Hole is a hockey term for between the goalie’s legs.

As in, “He shot the puck right through the 5 hole.”

Its between the legs or, alternatively, the space created between the goalie’s pads and above his stick as he holds it along the ice. Still through the legs either way.

And there were one-, two-, three-, and four-holes too.

So named because in a proper goatender stance, there are 5 areas uncovered that a goalie needs to be aware of. Upper right (goalie’s right) is 1 hole, upper left is 2 hole, etc.
Here is a diagram.

Sorry, no usual Simpsons double entendre here!

I know what the five hole is but did Lisa say that “Ric Flair” could fit through the goal tender’s.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought she said “pie hole”, as in mouth, but then he shot the puck between the legs. Not that “pie hole” made much sense in that context anyway.

That doesn’t agree with the link I gave earlier. Not that it’s important.

Would it be a six-hole if it went in over the goalie’s head?

Six hole: No.
You have 1-5, and that’s it.
1-4 corners and #5 between the legs - that’s it.

You can even buy “goalies” that hang in a hockey net…and for target shooting of the puck, they have five total holes, the 5th being between the legs.

“The goalie’s got a five hole the size of Red Square!”
