Almost a year ago!
One of those common faces that you can rarely place a name to, but chances are you’ve seen him, since he was in almost everything.
The “afable” man/father in that creepy Twilight Zone episode about the masks at midnight.
Never heard of him, and the face isn’t familiar, although I’ve seen several of those movies.
But, I’ll do my part to keep SDMB obit clichés alive:
“Damn. Just, damn.”
“He will be missed.”
