I was running along a street which runs north-south. I was headed north. There were some parked cars on my left (west side of the road) that were facing north and some parked cars facing south. If the north facing cars parked facing south, they could be ticketed. If the south facing cars were parked facing north, they could be ticketed. Parking is not allowed on the east side of the road, but that doesn’t have anything to do with this.
Is there a question?

Cars are in a parking lot and in this city it is illegal to park “backwards” i.e. nose out.

Are all of the cars between two particular intersections? Maybe the road is one way headed north up to a certain point, and then switches to one way headed south?

No, the cars on the the road. A very typical suburban road. Sidewalks, houses, regular neighborhood.
I wondered how long that would take. That’s the answer.
The first section of the road is oneway north until the next intersection. At that intersection the road becomes two-way. Cars parked south of the intersection have to park facing north, cars parked north of the intersection park facing south.

My grandpa had several books full of them. I don’t think there’s any way the idea was exhausted.
I just think people kinda got tired of it for a while. Maybe they just needed a break.
Bob went to an auto parts store to get a specific auto part. They didn’t have it and sent him to the dealership. The dealership was out of stock so they sent him to the supermarket. Bob was able to get the part and he and his friends then ate the part for dinner. What was the part?

Ok. So we know that Bob is working to restore a 1967 21-window Deluxe Volkswagon Bus. He has three friends who come over to help because it is a big and fun project and Bob always rewards his friends with a special dinner after they finish their evening work. Bob likes to use only official VW parts (accept no substitutes!) and figures maybe there is a chance that the small auto parts dealer down the street could have the part of which he now seeks. No such luck. Bob knows the nearby big Volkswagon dealership has a popular service garage that often has the part he needs in stock. But when Bob goes there alas, no luck either. The part is also OOS. If Bob has the part number then they promise they can immediately order the part and get the part in by next week, but Bob needs it for tonight. An old-timer covered in grease appears from the back of the building and tells Bob if he truly wants the part, he should try visiting the large full-service grocery store nearby. So Bob does. Bob heads there and finds he can get the exact part he needs. His friends have a fun evening capped off by all the friends eating the very VW part Bob sought. It was is served alongside a very nice local wine.**
