Lateral Thinking Puzzles. Let's do it again!

I’m thinking that a lot of these answers seem like they would apply to the ‘kid clapped his hands to his ears before the gunshot’ thing that happened in a movie one time (honestly don’t remember which one)

But we already had that as an answer previously, didn’t we?

Was the “incident” broadcast on television? Radio? Posted online?

Was it embarrassing because it was unmanly/not tough?
Was it embarrassing because of dated styles? Like clothing/hairstyles?
Was he in a commercial or TV episode? PSA?
In what era/decade would Roger have been a child?
Was the famous person male or female?
An actor? Musician? Something else?

We did and this has nothing to do with that. It was in North by Northwest. I got the answer, actually. Anyway, totally 100% unrelated.

Did Roger appear as himself or was he playing a character?
Was this something that was primarily meant to be performed/enjoyed live, but was recorded for posterity (or whatever) or something that was primarily meant to be recorded?
Did the event get broadcast later because of Roger’s involvement (like I’m thinking about old clips I’ve seen of Ryan Gosling doing a dance routine as a kid that would never get brought up if it weren’t for the fact that he’s involved) or because of its own merits? Does later mean like… a few months later or not til Roger was an adult?
I know this is sort of subjective, but- when you say it was embarrassing because it was unmanly, was it more sweet/childlike (like being the Gerber baby) or more earnest/goofy (like Ryan Gosling’s hammy childhood dance moves)?

P.S. I know it’s neither the Gerber Baby nor Ryan Gosling- those are just examples.
P.P.S. This is not relevant to the puzzle, but I have just discovered that I don’t actually know the difference between Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds.

Plenty of information. I think you guys can pull this together pretty soon.

Was Roger wearing a costume?

Did he have an accident while performing?

Did he get an unfortunate nickname after his performance?

An event primarily recorded… was it recorded for Radio, TV or Film?

Was it an animated movie or TV show?

Is it a work that the average person would recognize today?

Bambi?

Was he the voice of Charlie Brown?

Yes, this is it.

The kid who voiced adolescent Bambi hid that he had voiced it for much of his life. He didn’t even tell his wife. He was too embarrassed and afraid that the nickname “bambi” or “Major Bambi” would follow him around if people knew.

He entered the military, became a drill sergeant in the Marines, and kept his voicing of Bambi secret. Eventually, a movie magazine searched around and found him.

I find it both hilarious and kind of terrible that NPR literally put “Maj. Bambi” in the headline of the article.

His name is Donnie Dunagan and he is still alive. The famous person I alluded to was Walt Disney. He was spotted after winning his talent show as a kid.

I can likely have another one soon. Anyone else want to go?

What the hell- let’s try it.

The boy was expecting an exciting day out, but nothing like this- by the evening, he had achieved something many people work their whole lives to do. He was as surprised as anyone. And although he must have had some great stories to tell his friends when he got back to school, credit for his achievement was given to somebody else and his name was forgotten (although we can call him Kevin for the purposes of the puzzle). What did he do and why?

Was it a sporting achievement?

Was Kevin high school age? Middle school? Elementary school?

Did his achievement involve finding or discovering something?

If he had been an adult, would he have gotten credit? Was the person who did get credit an adult?

Yes!

Was Kevin playing a sport? In the audience while someone else was playing?

Was the sport involved:

Football?

Baseball?

Basketball?

Golf?

Hockey?

Track and field?

Other?

Are world records involved?

Would Kevin’s age / size have made it easier for him to achieve this thing than it would have been for an adult?

I expect that this one will be solved in no time

Did Kevin accomplish this thing by being able to fit into a tight space?
Did Kevin accomplish this thing by virtue of being lightweight?
Did Kevin accomplish this thing by virtue of being up against weak competition (such as other boys his age)?
Was the sport a competitive one?
Was the sport one where performance can be directly compared between athletes widely separated in time and space (i.e., like the time in a race, or the distance an object is thrown, as opposed to one where opponents must be on the field at the same time)?
