It escapes me…what is the Latin term used in law for a person who represents themselves? I think it is a two-word phrase, IIRC, but I could be wrong! (What is this? Like, Wheel of Fortune, or something?)

I would like to note that, to my shame, I knew this from Law and Order, from the episode in which a mentally deranged man, put sane by medication, demanded and got the chance to defend himself in court.
