Noticed in the episode on 5/1 that Jamie Sheridan, their supervisor was wearing an eye patch. A reference was made to “Bell’s Palsey”. Does the actor really have that condition, or is it part of the show?
Any ideas?

I know people who work on the show and they said that he’s actually suffering from the disease and they incorporated it into the show.
That makes sense, it would have been an odd choice to do something so visually distracting on a whim. Darrell Hammond played a great creep in that episode. Interesting how often comedians are able to pull that off.

My wife had Bell’s Palsy when she was younger, and she had to wear an eyepatch because half her face was paralyzed–she couldn’t blink! Also couldn’t eat very well or taste much of anything. It lasted about 3 months and the doctors could never pin down why it started or why it ended. You can still life your life, but a lot of things you take for granted come into focus when you can’t do them anymore.
