"Law & Order" voice opening

For convoluted and far-fetched reasons (Okay, it’s for my web comic), I need the exact wording of the voice-over for the beginning of eposides of NBC’s Law & Order. It goes something like “In New York City, the people are represented by two separate groups: The police, who arrest criminals, and the District Attorney who prosecutes them. These are their stories.” Google couldn’t help me. Can you?http://home.earthlink.net/~robtkennedy/index.html web comic

Step #1 - Turn on your TV to A&E/TBS

Step #2 - Wait up to one hour. An episode will be on soon enough.

The people are represented by two but equally important groups. The police, who investigate the crimes, and the District Attorney, who prosecutes the offenders. These are their stories.

I think I got closer, but I’m not going to say for sure that I’m completely correct.

Set yourself down at 7pm on Monday in front of your tv, tuned to TNT. That’s where Law and Order reruns are shown.

Oops! Thought it was TBS! Sorry.

This is from memory, so it may not be perfect:

It’s on TNT about a zillion times a day, if you want to hear it.

I was confused between TNT, TNN, and TBS myself.

Then I remembered, Seinfeld and Friends are on TBS, TNN has ST:NG on at 8p, and it’s TNT that has Law and Order.

I thought the question was going to be “Who’s the guy that says it?” :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

According to one of the Law & Order FAQs I found online, the voiceover at the beginning is done by actor Steve Morgan.

Yours is correct.
