I know this has been discussed before, but I’d to get some opinions/facts on the current TV technologies, as I find myself in the market for a new set. My 42" Samsung Plasma crapped out with a power capacitor failure. I’ve have it for about 4 years, it’s not under warranty, and it’s going to cost a few hundred dollars to fix, so I think I’ll put that money into a new set.
The largest I can fit in the space (custom cabinet) is 46", which is fine for my family room.
The room gets some indirect sun to the TV cabinet, but it’s not too bright. The seating areas are basically head on, with one chair off to the side slightly.
So, what’s the latest thoughts on TVs that fit my needs?
