For the past month I’ve been experiencing an odd sweating in my armpits thats never happened before.
For instance, I’m sitting now at the computer and occasionally a sizeable bead of sweat will run from my armpit down my side.
The thing is I am not hot and the room is quite comfortable. This also happens throughout the day at work. Where I am also not hot. The sweating only comes from my armpits. My hands, forehead, feet etc remain dry.
In general I am not a sweaty person and this phenomenon is ruining my undershirts.
You could very well be sweating from your other areas, but the vapor under your armpits could be a vapor trap causing condensation instead of evaporation (try breathable clothing, like cotton, if you are not already).
Have you switched antiperspirants lately? (Are you using a deodorant instead?) What ever you use should have aluminum in it to stop the sweating. (In fact, if this becomes {heaven forbid} a truly ongoing and chronic problem, you can get a prescription anti-perspirant from a doctor which has a higher concentration of aluminum… it works wonders, though it may be irritating at first.)
I get this once in a while, too. It only seems to happen when I’m in a bout of intense typing. With me it’s probably related to stress and also to heat. Sure is yucky to feel the sweat bead roll all the way down your side, isn’t it?
