I don’t know if you understand this, but I create my posts for the purposes of rational discussion and understanding. I do use a bit of rhetoric to spice things up, but that’s just for fun. At the core of every topic I create, and every response I post, is a genuine desire to explore a question in the bounds of rationality to improve my own understanding.
I cannot discern that quality in your writing. You seem to know you are right, beyond all question, and anyone who disagrees with you is obviously promulgating heresy and lies.

The scary part is, he posted two really well-thought-out and intelligent posts where he actually conceded a few points and changed his mind on a few more. I, for one, was nigh impressed.

No, but you’re an idiot. Logic is a science, and it is immune to your beliefs. The point is that if you refuse to acknowledge that logic can and does produce legitimate findings than you are in effect stamping your foot and insisting you’re right like a child throwing a tantrum. Which makes you look quite foolish.

Hm, got to love the humor here. So you assert that logic is flawed-claiming it’s circuitous-(which is of course only a valid criticism of logic if you accept logic as a valid criteria for judgeing things) and hence that logic is something that isn’t reliable? (yet another logic based value)
