Learnapalooza - call for teachers

Greetings Future Teachers!

Do you have something you’re passionate about? Would you like to share it with others? Well, you’re in luck. We’re organizing Learnapalooza Chicago, a free community learning festival taking place in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood on June 19, 2010, and we’re looking for your help to make it happen. We’re looking for people to share their knowledge and skills with the community at large by teaching a short (45 minute) class about anything you are passionate about. Knitting? Sure. Juggling? You bet. Bocce? Absolutely. Fire breathing? We’ll have to check with our insurers.

This is a great opportunity to share your passions with other people, and learn from others in a relaxed and fun environment. You’ll also be able to meet new people, network a little bit, and with any luck make some new friends along the way.

By now, you’re (hopefully) wondering where you can sign up to teach. Well, just go to http://learnapaloozachi.com and fill out the brief form and attend our short and entertaining orientation/workshop. Thanks for sharing your skills and passion, and we hope to see you June 19th.

Love and learnin’,

The Learnapalooza Chicago Team

PS – You don’t need to wait to Learnapalooza to start sharing skills. Check out our partner project CommuniTeach at http://communiteach.com to start sharing your passions and learn new skills today!

We don’t normally allow this sort of posting on the board – it’s awfully close to spamming – but we do make exceptions for worthy causes and this certainly sounds like one.

In future contact us in advance for permission to post such notices on this site, please.
