I accidentally left my leather jacket at a friend’s house. Thing is that they smoke like chimneys and now my jacket’s all funky. What’s the best way to get the tobacco reek out of it? Febreeze? Leave it outside on the clothesline? Baking soda?
I used to take mine to the dry cleaners and let them do it.
I just leave mine on a hanger in the garage for 2-3 days to air out. Certainly a good cleaning would do the trick but it’s a bit costly to clean leather if you have to do it every time you go to a smoky bar or visit a smoker’s house. I wouldn’t try any do-it-yourself cleaning effort.
