Right, finally got round to grabbing this last week and had a quick question. Note kids, spoilers unboxed because my Mac won’t let me do it for some reason -
While Hyde, nemo and the coach driver are eating dinner after he’s basically raped the Invisible Man to death, why does his death cause Hydes shirt to gradually become soaked with gallons of blood when he remarks he must have passed away?
Is there annotations to it like the first volume?
Cheers
In H.G. Wells’s original Invisible Man tale, upon his death, the Invisible Man became visible again. Why? Well, I don’t remember if there was a pseudo-scientific explanation, but the jist of it is that whatever made him invisible only affected him until he died.
Apparently, the effect extends to severed or distant parts of the Invisible Man as well - the invisible blood was on Hyde’s shirt, and when IM died, the effect was broken.
Just as a wonky thought that passed through my head - did Hyde’s shirt feel and appear wet, do you suppose? I mean, if it was soaked with an invsible liquid, wouldn’t that basically be the same as being soaked with water, in visual and tactile terms?
