Led Zeppelin and Frosted Flakes?

While enjoying my Frosted Flakes this morning and looking at the back of the box puzzels with all the little bunnies skiing, I noticed a blimp in the corner that said “Lead Zeppelin” Anyone out there know whats up, or noticed it as well?

Probably one of the box graphic designers is a Led Zepplin fan.

Sounds like a grrrrrreat way to start the day.

Did they puposely spell it wrong because of copyright issues?

I think it was the band that purposely changed the spelling, but that was probably just because it “looked cool” or for marketing or to make it distinctive. The story is that they thought the band wouldn’t be successful, and would “go down like a lead balloon”, and the name grew from there. Aside from that, it just might be the cereal company being whimsical, or a fan working there. Who knows? You should write them.

I meant did they spill it wrong on the cereal box because of copyright, not the band. I’m actually a HUGE Led Zeppelin fan, to the extent that I collect their live concert bootlegs.

Yes, I realize this is a late reply…

I noticed your location and figured you were. Even I’m not that obbsessed with Weezer. Well really, I can’t find the live concert bootlegs, and since I don’t have a credit card, I can’t use Ebay. But I do know A LOT about Rivers. I also know a lot about John Lennon, but I had to read a biography, and do a speech on him so it’s different. And since the book was 800 pages (yes, I am a book nerd) I know A LOT about John Lennon

( The Lives of John Lennon, if you must know)

Actually, I get everything for free. If you have broadband, check out www.etree.org or www.sharingthegroove.org for free LOSSLESS downloadable music. No official releases are allowed, so copyright issues are not a problem.
