That’s right folks, The Board Game. I was walking through the local Books-A-Million and saw this thing over on the sale counter. My jaw dropped in wild wonder. Here’s a quote from the blurb on the back. (The quotation marks are original - not mine)

I wonder what a “false confession” entails. Also, can you be Raptured so you don’t have to play the second part of the game?
The game is based on a series of books called, oddly enough, the “Left Behind” series. It’s apparently wildly popular. I know this because I saw the first eight or so of them sold in a boxed set at my local Costco.
The plot is basically that a disparate group of nonbelievers who didn’t get Raptured have to somehow battle the Antichrist, who is head of the UN or some such nonsense. I’m almost willing to buy them to see what all the fuss is about.
There are also two movies based on the series starring noted born-again Kirk Cameron (of “Growing Pains” fame). I saw the first one thanks to a drought of movies at Blockbuster and a wicked buzz when picking. It was heavy-handed, preachy, and poorly acted. I loved the hell out of it.
I think I want this board game.

I like how they put “Best Seller” in quotes and capitalised. Obviously they’re not using the “Usual Definition”.
