And Nicholas Cage is the main airline pilot guy(Rayford Steele).
It has to be a joke, doesn’t it? Who would finance this? Who would watch?
I can see fundamentalists thinking its a good idea, but Nicolas Cage will make it laughable.
I can see people who like Nicolas Cage wanting to see it, but being horrified at he subject matter.
Wait, the airline is called Pan Con Air? With Nicholas Cage as the pilot? This has to be a complete rib.
Anyway, they already made this movie, called This Is The End. Complete with rapture and demons.

Fantastic! I think Travolta’s *Battlefield Earth *is about to get competition.
Can we get Cage signed on to star in a new version of Atlas Shrugged once this is complete?
(Nicolas Cage on SNL) For it has the two key qualities of a Nic Cage action film: number one, all the dialogue is either whispered or screamed; and of course number two, everything in the movie is on fire.
Hey, they got Harrison Ford to direct! Well, not so much Harrison Ford as Harrison Ford’s stunt double*, but that’s just as good, right?
*(not making this up)
I think Cage has a bright future…imagine him remaking the entire Cameron oeuvre!
This has to be some sort of scam. A budget of 11 million? Cage usually gets paid in the high single digits for even his crappier movies, so that leaves just a couple million to pay the rest of the actors and actually make the film (which I guess explains using a stuntman as the director).
Wikipedia mentions there was a long legal battle over the rights. Maybe this is one of those things where they make a movie just to protect their rights to the IP? But then why go to the expense of hiring Cage?
The producers are really missing the boat here, this is the role Will Farrell was born to play.
Maybe Cage is doing it for le$$ up front and points? I heard he was having a lot of financial issues and might just need the bread.
Alas, it’s real. I don’t understand why. There are a lot worthier novels with the same theme to film (Christ Clone Trilogy). But I guess I’ll go see it. I am curious as to who plays Carpathia.
I also find it weird that both men who directed Left Behind movies are named Vic.
Vic Sarin
Vic Armstrong
Weird.
Also, Olympic athlete Lolo Jones as Lori. Is she still yammering about the status of her hymen?
This cheeseball will make a terrific drinking game and theme party.
