My roommate, her cousin, and I all went to the bar we left at closing time. Carrie (roommate) asks for her keys, (seeing that her dress didn’t have pockets and she didn’t bring her purse, I had to hold on to her keys/ciggs./I.D.)
So as I hand her the keys I ask “are you okay to drive?”
Well I should have just driven anyway (not like I hadn’t had anything to drink), So she is backing out of her spot and I look out the back window and see a parked Ford Explorer ::bash::
This black chick runs up screaming, “btch you hit my car, btch you hit my car” Carrie goes to get her information and the black chick opens the car door and pulls her out.
So automatically I’m out of the car, and her cousin is right behind me. We pull the two of them apart, when a couple black guys come over talking trash.
One of the guys takes a roundhouse swing at me which I
side-stepped and delivered two left jabs right in the middle of his face, then grabbed him and threw him into the rear passenger side window of the Explorer.
I grabbed Carrie and threw her into her car and told her to take off. Which she did. The bouncers came out and beat the crap out of the other dudes (all the bouncers at this club are my friends) allowing me and a couple of my friends to disappear.
Now my big question is.
Can Carrie in anyway get in trouble if this girl figures out who she is and reports this? Carrie’s car put a little dent in the Explorers driver side door, although the Explorer also has a rear window out because of me, there isn’t much they can say about that. Seeing they were they ones who started the fight.
i believe that they should have kept their hands off you and your cuz…so…that pretty much messed their lawsuit up…b/c u can just tell the judge what they did…and it would be a total waste of time…so…i think she is pretty safe…
What about a DUI? Of coarse she wasn’t drinking she never drinks would be my response now that the alcohol has had time to get out of her system.
PLUS
I just got off the phone with her, and she said she was talking to a co-worker, who is friends with the black chick too, and her co-worker friend said the chick was askin around about Carrie
Who knows,… and what can Carrie do to protect herself and her car if this girl does find out who she is.
If the other girl does get the law involved, can they say annything about Carrie having a couple. (that would be their word vs. ours so???)
Don’t worry about this until something happens. If the other girl tries to press charges based on the fight or get your friend for leaving the scene,
GET A LAWYER. AS SOON AS YOU FIND OUT THAT THERE’S A PROBLEM. AND DON’T SAY A DAMN THING. NOT A FRICKIN’ SYLLABLE. ANY OF YOU.
There is always the possiblity that if the girl finds out who you and your friends are, she will try to file a criminal complaint. The best course is not to worry about “what if’s” and wait until something happens. If it happens, then see the advice above.
Umm What if the person who’s car was hit or a friend of theirs reads this message board? You have just admitted to what happened so I sendnd getting a lawywer
Your friend left the scene of an accident. This is serious, particularly when alcohol was involved because leaving to escape being discovered DUI is really a no-no. However, she was fleeing an assault & battery situation, which might be in her favor. A rational person would have driven to the nearest phone and called the police, though. Face it, the accident WAS her fault. The fact that the car was owned by a crazed obnoxious bitch does not change that.
If I were her, I’d go consult a lawyer right now. She does not want to be living with this over her head, wondering when she might be found out and in trouble. You can’t make a bad situation better by breaking more laws. Let the lawyer advise of her how to best own up to this.
Your liability in this is probably minimal, especially if the bouncers can testify to the fact that they were attacking you.
And fer crissakes, Nicklz, you and your friends and your drinking worry me. I don’t care how much you drink, really (well, I do, but that’s another thread). I do care that you guys still think it might be okay to chance a drive home. She’s damn lucky she hit a car and not a person.
What should happen if there is any justice in the world is that your friend would have a DUI and a fleeing the scene of a crime charge, and the black dudes who attacked you would have assult charges on them. Whats likely to happen is your friend will be charged for a hit and run.
