I’ve been fighting a head/chest cold for since Wednesday and have come to the same conclusion I always do when I have a cold:
Nyquil rocks.
I unwrap the safety seal. Toss the plastic cup. Squeeze and twist. Knock back a couple of slugs with the orange juice chaser at the ready. Then sit back…and wait for the buzz.
Pure bliss.

Dude, nyquill is good, but nyquil mixers are even better. although i do not recomend this for the youngunn
Nyquil keeps me awake all night 
I wish they made a version without the ephedrine.

Try Nutmeg: or better yet, don’t. 
But you can get the same nyquil buzz by mixing antihistamines with alcohol, and Cat, no ephed. Under NO circumstances should you drive or "operate Hv Machinery), or light machinery, or anything except a toothbrush, and you should be careful with that.
