Is anyone else watching this?
It seems to have generated absolutely no buzz, but it has to be the funniest thing on at the moment.
I am, though I haven’t seen the latest episode, yet. I mentioned it a few days ago in a thread about (IIRC) shows we were pleasantly surprised by. And I also noted that I stumbled upon it, having never seen a commercial or heard anything about it anywhere.
FX is really starting to give AMC a run for its money in the “basic-cable channels with quality lineups” category.
We have laughed out loud at every episode, so far. This is quickly becoming a favorite. The dialog, while goofy, flows very much like we think or talk to our own friends. It’s*** fun***.
The only reason why I knew about it was because I subscribe to Jim Jeffries page on Facebook.
I’ve been watching from the beginning and love it. I got a couple others to start with the airplane ep (#4?) which was probably the worst of all. Fortunately I convinced them to go back to the beginning and they are hooked as well.
Second season is as good as the first.
“Don’t Cry Out Loud”
Based on the OP’s recommendation, we gave it a three-episode tryout last night. Very funny stuff and reminds me of Gervaise somewhat. And hey, Cliff Claven!
I still haven’t checked it out even though I think Jeffries is one of the funniest comedians around right now. I have to fix that.
Definitely, Loach. Season 1 is on netflix streaming. I think it’s everything that people like about Louie, except it does it better.
I love DJ Qualls’ performance in this.
Playing a paralyzed guy he does a great job with just the expressions on is face.
