How have your late-night viewing habits changed, if at all, since Conan took over the Tonight Show?
My preference in hosts is Conan>Letterman>Fallon>Leno. So I used to watch Letterman and Conan, now I watch Conan and Fallon.
I used to watch Conan and Leno on their own shows before they retired/moved around/etc.
Now I just watch Jimmy Fallon only and skip the other two.
I watch Letterman and Craig. Since I despise all the crime drama crap on at 9 - I have been watching Leno. Mildly amusing - better than watching yet another episode of CSI, or the crap on ABC.
I used to watch The Daily Show, and I still do.
The real news is funny enough, so I watch O’Reilly.
I used to watch THe Tonight Show with Jay and now I watch Jay Leno then Letterman if I’m still awake. Frankly they could all go away if we could get Craig on at a decent hour.

[li]I used to watch Leno/Tonight show if I was up.[/li][li]I do not watch Leno now.[/li][li]I can’t stand Conan at any time.[/li][li]If Craig Ferguson were on at a decent hour I would watch it. Ferguson runs rings around all the late-nighters.[/li][/ul]
I fail to understand why all of them are sniping at each other. NBC executives blew it from the start, and continue to do so. Anyone with half a brain would have known Conan was no replacement for Jay, and creating a 10pm slot for Jay just to keep him would fail as well.
I used to watch Letterman at 11:30 and Conan at 12:30. Now I “DVR” Letterman and Conan and watch them both the next day.
In the 90’s, I watched Leno and then Conan. I can remember when Conan and Andy’s set looked like an apartment. I did that until Adult Swim came around. After that I never watched Leno and would sometimes watch Conan. Now, I watch part of Adult Swim and then switch over to Fox to watch reruns of Seinfeld and My Name is Earl. If a new Conan show came on Fox, I’ll probably watch King of the Hill and Family Guy on Adult Swim, then switch over to Conan on Fox. I’m 26 if any of that matters.
I watched Leno on the Tonight Show, but his new slot is too early for me so I never see it. Don’t hate Conan, but don’t find him all that funny so never watch his show. Never liked Letterman and only watch if he has some guest that interests me greatly. Only late night talk show I watch now, if I am still awake, is Craig Ferguson.
If Leno comes back to the Tonight Show, I’ll start watching again.
One thing I have noticed on the threads about this subject is the sudden great love for Conan - and considering his ratings suck, apparently everybody who watches his show must be a Doper here on the boards.
Never likes Jay. I used to watch Conan, but not for a long time since he did the show without writers during the strike. I don’t really like his Tonight Show, so now I don’t watch either.
Aww man, that was when he was at his best
I wrote that all crazy like. I did watch his strike era shows, and I agree, he was MUCH funnier without the writers, but I lost interest in Conan afterward.
I don’t live in America so can’t really participate in this fight. But I watch Dave, as it screens over here eight hours after the US, and then I watch Craig on YouTube.
I’ve always hated Conan. His humor is childish.
I’ve always loathed Leno - the most unfunny man on television. I like Conan a lot, would love to see Craig on at a decent time, and find Letterman OK. I also like The Daily Show. All of this is irrelevant, however, because I never have time to watch any of them.
We DVR Craig every night (woo, baby!). I saw an episode of Jay’s show a while ago - it wasn’t great. I’ve never watched Conan. I think Jay taking the show back from Conan is uncool. Very uncool.
I turn off anything when a commercial comes on, so I don’t watch any show for a long period unless Conan has Triumph on. Then I watch as much Kimmel as Conan and Craig. Then when Charlie Rose comes on the flipping is over.
I don’t watch late night TV (or much TV at all, really), but the only ones I would watch, if I did, are Stewart and Colbert.
I’ve never cared about Conan despite being square in his demographic, and am even less interested in Leno and Letterman. I do like Ferguson a lot based on the youtube vids I’ve seen of him, though.
