Leslie Nielsen made a hilarious commercial wearing bunny slippers a while back, and I can find no mention of it.
Does anybody remember the product he was hawking?
Thanks,
mangeorge
Wiki says he did an ad for Coors while wearing a bunny suit. Could that be it?
That could be. He acted completely normal, as though he were wearing a coat and tie.
Funny guy, ol’ Leslie
Maybe I can find it. I get on these self-proclaimed “missions”, and can’t let go.
I’d insert a “shake head” smilie here if we had one.
No, I’m pretty sure it was just bunny slippers. I have this picture in my head of him sitting in a chair with his legs crossed and bouncing one foot clad in a bunny slipper.
I have no idea what the ad in question was actually for, but I just have to point out something funny about this ad. Energizer actually sued Coors over the satire of their bunny character, but the court found in favor of Coors because although it had some parody aspects, it could not be confused for a genuine Energizer ad. The court’s official ruling had a simply-put statement that was somehow hilarious in its simplicity: “Mr. Nielsen is not a toy (mechanical or otherwise), does not run on batteries, is not fifteen inches tall, is not predominantly pink, does not wear sunglasses or beach thongs, and would probably make a better babysitter than a children’s gift.”
My personal favorite ad Leslie Nielsen did was for some sort of Medicare service in the style of some of his films. “Plus, they give you information on Medigap, which is helpful if you have gaps in your medi!”
It’s even funnier when you consider that the Energizer Bunny was ripped-off from Duracell.
Sometimes I just like to feel…pretty.
How does the court know anything about how Leslie spends his off time? I can see him on Wreck Beach, cruisin’ in a thong and shades, totally cool.
Hi Piper,
Did you relocate, or just change the name that rhymes with vagina?
Mrs. Piper thought it was a bit … graphic.
Here’s what The Mighty Wascana looks like this time of year.
