Very interesting page, and doesn’t have a “conspiracy theory” air about it.
I wonder why these potential hijackings weren’t more thoroughly investigated? If true, the plot widens considerably. Were they uncoordinated, coincidental actions or part of the overall plan, perhaps insurance. All those questions seem important to me.
OTOH, perhaps knives taped to the seats, as reported in several of those incidents, are common occurrences and nothing unusual?
Hey, I’m here. Still visit the SDMB several times a week, though I don’t post often. I’ve gotta take my kid to preschool now, but I will be back later to post in more detail.
So, do you guys want to hear my story? Should I start an “ask the World Trade Center survivor” thread?
In short, I worked in 2WTC. I was in the lobby of that building, headed for the elevator, when the first plane hit 1WTC. It was very scary and chaotic; people started evacuating and I went with them. Ran into a co-worker of mine outside and she and I began to walk away together. That’s when the second plane hit our building. We ran for our lives, literally thinking we were about to die. I got home to Brooklyn later that afternoon. A few days later, I went back to work at the firm’s midtown offices. No one I knew (well) died.
I think a thread of that sort would be a great way to approach the day itself, if you’re up to the reliving part of it.
You say
and I had asked upthread if there had been anything at SDMB that addressed those who didn’t survive the day (or had relatives or close friends who didn’t). An In Memoriam sort of thing, maybe.
I’m just glad to know you are doing well, Vix, because the comments that were made by those concerned for your welfare in that big thread started just a few minutes after the news broke about the first plane’s crash, got me worried for you myself, here nine years later. Anything further you feel comfortable revisiting would be welcome in this thread, if you wish.
