I’m kinda sorry that there will be no Star-Oilers series for the 6th straight year. That has been the best first round series in the last 2 or 3 years.

Incorrect, I heard on the news today that Forsberg will be back with his team for the playoffs. Not sure what a difference this will make tho. Personally I think it’s too soon and he won’t be at his best.

Glad to see the University of Miami fans are still excited…
w00t! A 4-for-4 night! Not only did the Sharks take Game 1, but my buddy Irbe played awesome (even if the Devils were short a lot of guys), the Flyers proved they are better than they have been and that Ottawa is still heartless in the playoffs, and the Dead Things lost! Party on!

Really, though, the Wings are going to have to get their heads back in the game if they want to beat the Canucks.
I just hope that the games tonight are as good as the games last night. All 4 games were 1 goal games and 2 went to the wonderful place known as NHL playoff OT.
The best part about the Canucks winning last night was the absolute silence in the arena after Ha-suck let in the goal. No groans or boos, just silence. The arena was like a morgue.
Here’s hoping it happens again tomorrow!

I’ll admit it, that was a terrible game. Hasek was just plain bad, though he did face a lot of unlucky deflections off his own players. That was an absolutely horrible call on Federov that led to the 5 on 3 goal, but we did get a 5-3 of our own soon after and didn’t score. The only highlights were Federov’s beautiful goal and seeing Bertuzzi get punked out by Chelios. Not to worry though, the wings never lose in the first round.
