Let's all gloat! (If you filed your Taxes in say, March.)

I met with Jack three weeks ago. We spent 30 minutes doing all the deductions etc., I paid him $80.00 and he efiled em. He’s worth every penny. The refund is in the bank already. It’ll either turn into a laptop with money left over for something fun or be part of a down payment on that new Mustang I’m drooling over.

I filed mine January 14th and got my money back on the 16th. It’s all gone now. Stupid dentist bills for the kids. Stupid underbite! At least Friday I’ll be relaxing at a strip show with my friends instead of worrying about sending out my taxes.

I haven’t had to do the wonder and bountiful glory of tax filing yet.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Filed in Feb.!

Almost $8000 refund received shortly thereafter.

Filed in February as well. Online. Got my refunds in less than a week.

Bliss.

The best part is that a friend of mine filed them for me. We met when he was going to school here to get his MBA. All I had to do was take him to dinner afterwards.

E-filed mine and my wife’s and my daughter’s a month ago. And we even get 2 more weeks to do it in than you southerners.

I also filed in February.

And your cherry-blossom photo is gorgeous!

Taxes filed in March.
Refund sitting in the bank.
Carpet being ripped up to be replaced with a wood floor (hopefully) today while I am at work.

Filed in March.

Owed the government sixty cents. Had to write a check for the sixty cents. Stupid government.

Filed Jan. 28. Money sent to state and federal Feb. 3rd.

Refund. Bah. I’ve gotten one refund in the 20+ years I’ve been paying taxes.

Since we’re not getting a refund (I figure if I get a refund, my withholdings were not figured correctly) our return will be mailed on Friday. With a check. No, our withholdings weren’t figured correctly…

Taxes? Feh. Filed in February, refund received in March, refund spent in March.

Me too. I might go to the post office on Thursday.

E-filed federal an hour ago, it was hard to get excited about $117 refund. I’ll mail state and local later this week, we owed on both of those. :frowning:

Well, (assuming canadians can join in here, though I think our deadline isn’t until the end of April…)

E-filed with canada revenue on February 24th, deposited a $1250 cheque on march the tenth. Put all of it into paying down my new desktop computer.

Yep, filing early is SO MUCH FUUUN!

Had em done yonks ago.

Note this thread

We filed in early March, got the refund back in late March, and we still have most of it. The car needed new brakes and an oil change, I needed a new outfit (or two  ), and the other vehicle will need an oil change. The balance left over will fund grad school for me this summer. ::waves a tiny little hurrah flag::

Had mine filed the same day I got my W2 - Feb 3rd. Had the money in the bank 2 weeks later and used some of it to remodel the bathroom. Had a lot left over so, it’s making money for me now.

I hear that the post office is not going to stay open late around my parts on Friday. I might assume that is everywhere since it’s federal, but are they doing that in other areas?

Hooray for Grad School, FaerieBeth!

Thanks. I have taken about three hundred pictures in the last week, most of them of Blossoming trees of one sort or another. This was the best TJ Memorial shot I could get, but I am hoping for better light, tomorrow. (Since I won’t be spending any time doing my taxes!)
