Which 3 of these?
No clue. I’ll need more.

Will have to check that out, although I was just pondering whether the Bruce Springsteen version ought to be on this list.
No! He sings it wrong! I hate when a performer sings that line three times. I better not ever find out who’s the first person to arrange it that way, or I’ll buy a Time Machine and go back and interrupt their grandparents when they’re trying to make babies.
But… but Clarence!
Yes, it is a shame about Clarence. But he was a great musician, and he should have known better.
Thought that “at most 3” meant that the most had to be 3 but I could have just one or two, my bad.
Merry Christmas from The Romanes sounds good.
That is correct.

I love their single “We Go The House”.

Mm. I’ll have to listen to that one.
See y’all next Black Friday.
And here we are again
Current stats on the playlist are 157 songs and 8 hours 51 minutes. One slight change to the rules this year
You can pick at most 3 songs to add. “Christmas” is interpreted as any Winter Holiday song (so Xmas, Hannukah, Yule, etc.) or any wintery themed song.
One (1) of your choices can be a traditional carol if you prefer.
No Christmas Shoes.
Songs must be available on Spotify (to add to the list).
You can talk about other Christmas songs you like but they won’t go in the playlist. They are honorable mentions.
This year I added
Holy Shit It’s Christmas by Red Peters (warning NSFW)
Jingles the Christmas Cat by Freddie Cole
Little Drummer Boy by Low. An interesting take on a traditional carol.
I’ve only got two new ones, but they’re both quite good:
B. B. King - Back Door Santa
Hayes Carll - Grateful For Christmas
This year’s additions:
The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole
Stop The Cavalry by Jona Lewie
Let Me Melt - Jenny Stardust (mildly NSFW for language)
Honorable mention (for use next year if needed or now if anyone else is short of ideas):
Bringin’ Back Christmas from “Spirited”
Twelve Days To Christmas from “She Loves Me”
Pretty Paper by Roy Orbison
Counting Down - Eamon
Also, I haven’t ruled out Bruce Springsteen’s “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”, despite the grumbling of others about it.
We can also use this thread to chat about songs we’ve discovered through the list. my top 3
#3 Christmas from the Family
#2 Come Darkness, Come Light
#1 White Wine in the Sun
Thank you to those that put them on the list.
When I was a kid, we had an album, “Snoopy’s Christmas”. The title song was a sequal to Snoopy vs. The Red Barron. One of the songs was " Jingles, the Christmas Mouse” and it’s on Spotify!
Gotta have those two songs together!
