I suppose that there might be a squidgeon of validity to that observation. However, you were not attacked for attacking the “drug” of the SDMB, you have been attacked for attacking the other posters in your OP. There is a difference.
Had you attacked the “drug” we would now be involved in a discussion as to the accuracy of your observation (just as we embarked on similar discussions that last dozen times the topic was raised). I openly admitted in one of my postings that not ALL the posters jumped down my throat. And in the example I gave, the 300 or so people plus the mayor and city council who got upset at Ottawa being called a hick town did not (it may surprise you) represent the total poulation of Ottawa. But the fact that so many did get upset proved that the journalist had hit a nerve.
