Before we adopted Cooper, we met Jax, I liked him a lot, but the rest of the family didn’t, but he still deserves a Forever Home

Here’s my Flickr page with Pics of Jax…
He’s an Australian Shepherd mix with a black and golden-brown brindle coat, short hair, possible minimal shedding, his foster parents are moving out of the area and he needs to find a loving home
I met him at K9 Kaos in Dover, NH, Seacoast Area animal rescue usually has adoption meets there every Saturday
He’s very strong, strong willed, and very nose happy, likes to follow scents, he IS a little shy with new people at first, but once he gets to know and trust you, he bonds very quickly, it took him less than 10 minutes to warm up to me…
they claim he’s good with cats, but I haven’t tested that, he seems to be okay with dogs smaller than him, same size and larger dogs, he may feel the need to investigate them
He is extremely alert, almost to the point of ADD, and very protective of his “pack” (human companion), I think he would make a great home alarm system dog
From my time getting to know him, I think he’d be happiest as an only dog, seems okay with preteen kids who know to respect animals (he was fine meeting my 9 year old niece) and respectful older kids/teens.
Toddlers, babies and little kids may be too intense for him, at first, probably would be best in a no cat or other small animal household, and one, perhaps two human members of his “pack”, once he gets to know you, and feels comfortable around you, he’ll be your best freind and stalwart guardian
Of course, as an Aussie, he’s going to need a good amount of activity, be it going for walks/jogs, chasing a ball, playing tug-of-war with a rope tug, frisbee games, and just generally being active
He’s a nice dog, not a goofy love sponge like a Lab, he’s smart, perhaps too smart for his own good, but smart dogs are just plain fun to be with, he deserves a Forever Home
Could it be yours?
I’ll post a couple YouTube videos later as well
