Lets invent a new word

You know that feeling that you get when you wake up in the morning and you think that it is time to get up and face the day, but then you look at the clock and you realize that you have a good hour or two before you really have to get out of bed and so you snuggle into your covers and drift back into blessed sleep and then your cat starts purring next to you because she thought that you were getting up too and is also happy to be snuggling back to sleep with you? Don’t you think that there should be a word for that?

I sure do. I also have criteria for what I think that the word should be like. I think that it should be a compound of two different German words (like schadenfreude (which I think most directly translates to damage joy)). What say you?

That never happens to me. If I so much as turn over in bed after 6AM my dogs pester me until I fill the food bowls.

Snoozenfreude

farfegkrieg

Schlafvergnugen.

I’m seeing some suggestions her, and would love the translations (I don’t speak German).

GLEE!

Frühes Morgen Kätzchen Schläfchen?

What? Too long for a bumper sticker?

Early morning kitten nap?

Snoozenblitzen?

I like the suggestions of both Ol’Gaffer and harmless, but I think the ideal word needs to be between them in length. So, I give you…

Katzenschlafvergnugen.

(Roughly, “cat sleep pleasure”.)

Zzzzzsenjoyn?

No.

I have NEVER had that feeling.

I am the guy who can barely drag his ass out of bed 10 minutes before he is supposed to be at work 15 miles away. A new word for that could be:

Holycrapolashitshowershavego.

I never have that feeling. I wake up at four every day and spend the time between then and when everyone else wakes up at six to play video games or finish homework.

But the German for “Blissful sleep feeling” is Glückliches-Schlaf-Gefühl.
