Let's play Bad Casting

Let’s play bad casting decisions.

I’ll name a movie character from a classic film that’s being remade. You suggest the worst actor or actress to play that role. Then you give a character name for the next player to cast.

The person you cast should be of the same sex and general age as the character. You may cast any actor or actress, living or dead. We’ll digitize the dead ones in our remake.

I’ll start:
Rick from Casablanca. Worst choice to play him: Shemp Howard.

Marie Curie from Madame Curie.

Marie Curie from Madame Curie. Worst choice to play her: Paris Hilton.

Booger from Revenge of the Nerds.

Elijah Wood.

The Monster from Frankenstein .

The baby from the Luvs diaper commercial. (heh heh…you did say the “same age”, yes?)
Cary Grant in Arsenic & Old Lace

Herve Villechaize.

Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.

Hugh Grant, I think

Katie Scarlett O’Hara Hamilton Kennedy Butler(and if you don’t know the movie there’s no hope)

(dratted simulpost)

I’m torn between Rosie O’Donnell and Suzanne Somers.

How about the lead in It’s a Wonderful Life?

This isn’t a game entry, just a comment: I saw an interview in which Jennifer Lopez expressed an interest in playing Scarlett. She wanted Ben Affleck to play Rhett. Now that Ben is out of her life, one hopes that J.Lo will have rethought this.

Wil Farrel.

The Hillbilly Rapists from Deliverance.

Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.

We need another classic character, Alessan.

Hilarious, Alessan! Best answer so far. You forgot to state another role for the next player to cast, so let’s go back to Tierce’s suggestion, which got overlooked above:

Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.

Olympia Dukakis.

Willy Wonka.

Michael Jackson.

Indiana Jones

I’m thinking Sigourney Weaver.

GorillaMan didn’t give us a classic role to miscast, so let’s go to Larry Borgia’s suggestion:

Indiana Jones

Andy Dick.

Joe/Josephine and Jerry/Daphne from Some Like it Hot.

Chris Tucker

Frank N Furter

Frank N Furter

William Shatner (“Don’t… DREAM it… BE it”)

Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman

Julia Roberts.
