Let's play the 'the ABC band name" game

What? You’re not a fan of late-60s obscure psychedelia?

The Orb

I was just surprised to see the name. Nobody IRL “out-obsures” me. I forgot where I was.

Planet P Project

Quiet Sun

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Shot In The Dark

Derek Trucks Band

or Trucks Band, Derek

Univers Zéro

Verve Pipe (a different band than the previously-mentioned Verve)

Wallenstein

X-Legged Sally

Yell County (one of whose members has been known to post here  )

Zen Tricksters

A - Atahualpa

For those curious about the band I just posted, an article I found on a quick search about the band, and their website. They don’t sound like Zamfir either, btw.

:smack: Well, at least the band site link is correct. The other one wasn’t about the band I mentioned, but a town that also has that name in Ecuador.

Big Country (a one-hit wonder band whose song was, appropriately enough, Big Country)

Whoohoo! Got it! Under the last name, Alice Cooper!

Drat, posted too soon - before anyone says that’s a solo…no. “Alice Cooper” was the name of the band ('69 - '74) before Alice legally changed it to his own name. Under the OP rules, it goes under “C”.

Actually, I believe the song itself was called “In A Big Country”. And it’s a really darn good song, too.

Hehe, sorry for being a buttinski! runs
