Let's Play With My New Nigerian Friend

Here’s the text from a scam emailer that I sent replies to, but surprisingly I didn’t receive any responses after my last reply.

Apologies to those who have already read this in a similar thread.

My replies in italics.

FROM DR chiamemere
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
AUDITING AND ACCOUNTING UNIT.
FOREIGN REMITTANCE DEPT.
UNION TOGOLAISE DU BANQUE
LOME- TOGO.
TEL:228-01-94-57
Dear Sir,

I am Dr chiamemere, the director in charge of auditing
and accounting
section of
Union togolaise du banque Lome-Togo in west Africa
with due respect and
regard.

I have decided to contact you on a business
transaction that will be
very
beneficial to both of us at the end of the transaction
.

During our investigation and auditing in this bank, my
department came
across a very huge sum of money belonging to a
deceased person who died
on
november 1997 in a plane crash and the fund has been
dormant in
his account with this Bank without any claim of the
fund in our
custody
either from his family or relation before our
discovery to this
development.

Although personally, I keep this information secret
within myself and
partners to enable the whole plans and idea be
Profitable and
successful
during the time of execution. The said amount was
us$14M (fourteen
million
united states dollars).

As it may interest you to know, I got your impressive
information
through
my good friends who works with chamber of commerce on
foreign business
relations here in Lome- Togo. It is him who
recommended your person to
me to
be viable and capable to champion a business of such
magnitude without
any
problem Meanwhile all the whole arrangement to put
claim over this fund
as
the bonafide next of kin to the deceased,
get the required approval and transfer this money to a
foreign account
has
been put in place and directives and needed
information will be relayed
to
you as soon as you indicate your interest and
willingness to assist us
and
also benefit your self to this great business
opportunity.

In fact I could have done this deal alone but because
of my position in
this
country as a civil servant, we are not allowed to
operate a foreign
account
and would eventuallyraise an eye brow on my side
during the time of
transfer
because I work in this bank. This is the
actual reason why it will require a second party or
fellow who will
forward claims as the next of kin with affidavit of
trust of oath to
the
Bank and also present a foreign account where he will
need the money to
be
re-transferred into on his request as it may be
after due verification and clarification by the
correspondent branch of
the
bank where the whole money will be remitted from to
your own designated
bank
account.

I will not fail to inform you that this transaction is
100% risk free.

On smooth conclusion of this transaction, you will be
entitled to 30%
of the
total sum as gratification, while 10% will be set
aside to take care of
expenses that may arise during the time of transfer
and also
telephone bills, while 60% will be for me and my
partners.

Please, you have been adviced to keep top secret as we
are still in
service
and intend to retire from service after we conclude
this deal with you.

I will be monitoring the whole situation here in this
bank until you
confirm
the money in your account. and ask us to come down to
your country for
subsequent sharing of the fund according to
percentages
previously indicated and further investment, either in
your country or
any
country you advice us to invest in.

All other necessary information will be sent to you
when I hear from
you.

I suggest you get back to me as soon as possible
stating your wish in
this
deal.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. chiamemere

    Thankyou Doctor,

As soon as school breaks for the holidays I will get straight onto it, which should be sometime before the 13th of this month.

I can’t wait to receive this money, as it will be invaluable to the future success of training my dog as a travelling one man jazz band. Cymbals for all four knees can be quite expensive these days as I’m sure you are aware, but with 10 million dollars, I will be able to buy a lot of cymbals, and hopefully one of those harmonica attachments for his collar.

If there is anything in the meantime I may be able to assist you with please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to make sure it happens.

Kind regards,

Go through and fill it accordingly and then send to me by email so that I check if it is correctly filled before you fax to the bank.

There is no time to waste and I would also want you to tell me about yourself and your present carrear so that I know if you can be capable of transacting this business. This is important because,we would not want to fail in this transaction because of any incapacitation.

I expect a reply to this mail immediately,

Yours faithfully,
Dr Chinamemere

*Hi Doc!

I got to work this morning and was hoping to get another of your
e-mails, I really look forward to them seeing as how we’ve become
such great friends.

I did receive the application, but I’m waiting for lemons to come in
at the local greengrocers before filling it out. I want to print out
the application and complete it using lemon juice, this way we can
both be assured of confidentiality, as long as you have a candle of
course? I’m still not sure if the lemon juice method will still work
after I’ve scanned the document and e-mailed it back to you though,
what’s been your experience on this matter?

Doc, I must say that I am a little puzzled as to your question about
whether I’m capable of completing such an important transaction? I
would have thought our inseparable bond as friends would have been
enough of a guarantee, but anyhow, I’m willing to fill you in a
little on my credentials.

I am currently head of a multi-national corporation responsible for
providing a solution to world hunger. We are in the process of
attempting to mate pigs with chickens, thereby creating a rare strain
of animal known as a Picken. Pickens, although hard to catch, will be
extremely tasty, and also have the added bonus of tasting something
like a cross between bacon and eggs, a favourite of yours too I’m
sure?

Anyhow Doc, I must head off as pig and chicken mating is exhausting
work, especially when it involves me having to show the chickens how
it’s done. One of the perks of the job I guess.

As soon as the lemons come in, I’ll be in touch.

Regards,

Your best friend,
Brad*
