Let's recast Faerie Tale Theatre

For the 5,999,999,997 of you who missed this show in the 80s, Faerie Tale Theatre was a series in which each episode was an hour-long presentation of a single faerie tale. While it was for children, it had some jokes that operated at the adult level. And it starred some top-notch actors. Imagine Jeff Goldblum as the Big Bad Wolf. (“Chinny chin chin? What does that mean, exactly?”) Imagine Robin Williams as the Frog Prince.

So what if the series was remade today? Who would you cast in various stories? I’ll start you off:

The Three Little Pigs, starring Casey Affleck, Chris Kattan, and Jim Carrey. With David Cross as the Big Bad Wolf.

Frat pack Hansel and Gretel, with Owen Wilson and Kate Husdon, and Vince Vaughn as the witch.

:stuck_out_tongue: Works for me.

Cinderella: Kate Hudson
Stepmother: Jessica Walter
Stepsisters: Judy Tenuta, Margaret Cho
Faerie Godmother: Shirley Jones
Handsome Prince: Gilbert Godfried (“What’s up with this? I used to be the prince! And now I’m in women’s shoes!”)
