I’m too young to remember much of the Kroffts’ work, I know that “Sigmund” and “Land of the Lost” were two Saturday morning favorites in our home. Some of their more recent stuff like DC Follies was great. Now, according to the IMDb, a Pufnstuf movie is in the works.
I wonder if CNR will be in it somewhere.

Wow, that’s a project that ought not to be. H.R. PufnStuff was such a product of its time – you can’t go back again, and besides, it doesn’t get any better than the original Pufnstuf movie.

I have a feeling that any remake will involve some unforgivable abominations.

I believe that Billie Hayes, the original Wilhelmina W. Witchiepoo, is still with us, so of course she is my first choice to play the role she originated. But if her schedule doesn’t allow it, I’d love to see Linda Hunt in the part.
By the way, everyone knows that the incomparable Ms. Hayes was also Mammy Yokum in LI’L ABNER, right?
The Kroffts are listed as producers so maybe we’ll be pleasantly surprised.
