Beck you’ve missed out on the cold snap. We had sleet in Little Rock Monday night. Light Snow in Searcy.
It was 21F this morning. 9 deg wind chill.
Quite a drop from the 50’s Mon morning.
Brace yourself for a shock when you go home.

Y’alls very funny!
Too late. Signed, sealed, delivered.
Big Wrek pretended to read it before I signed. He ok’d it. Yeah, ummm. .that made me feel better.
Yeah. So I hear. All I got is a ratty old hoodie. DIL went to Target. She’s gonna get me a jacket.
The lil’wrekker looks like Nanook of the North. She’s gotta leave soon to get back to Ruston. I don’t have the energy to make her ask for money. I just handed over all the cash I had. She’s happy. Mommy’s now broke. It feels surprisingly normal.
DIL sounds extremely useful. Where can I get one?
You cannot have mine. I hand picked her Son-of-a-wrek (not really)
She has been a godsend. I tell my kids all the time how she’s a better helper than all 3 of them, put together.
It’s not like she doesn’t have her own life. 2 young kids, a house, a crazy husband(my kid) and she has a job. I don’t know her secret. Might be all those casseroles she makes.
Congrats! To warrant getting a legal guy out of bed, into a properly imposing suit, and to the hospital by 6 A.M. is a sure sign you’re a VIP–or that they’ve already screwed up and are scrambling to cover their asses.
Remind me never to get sick or hurt in your corner of Arkansas.
Glad you’ll soon be safe and sound at home.
All due to DIL calling peeps at 5am. She don’t play.
I’m certainly no VIP.
Fingers crossed that you get sprung soon, Beck!
Mister Nursey-cute guy came in and took my temp and BP, looked at my CGM. He deems me ready to leave. God, I’m glad he didn’t remove the catheter. That woulda been embarrassing.
Waitin’ on the Doctor.
ETA, I won’t describe the horrors that were on the lunch tray. It was offal/onions.
<tells the flight crew they can nap but keep the engines warm, tells the rest of the team to head over to the dfac and get some chow but leave keep the walkie talkie on loud just in case>
Sprang?
Yay!!! My release has been signed. Doc was a little worried my back was still so sore. My pee is clear. He ordered a shot for my pain and a round of antibiotic pills (so quaint).
I’m free, free at last!
See y’all from the deep woods of Wrek-ville, AR
Phew! Thank goodness, it’s pretty expensive keeping a c130 and 2 platoons of heavily armed thugs and goons (as in big, not loaded with weapons) and two apc ambulances locked and loaded on standby
even if they are just cartoons
Ah, Dorky, thank you for standing by to rescue me.
They gave me a shot of demerol for the ride home. I flew home (seems DIL was driving)
I don’t remember the trip at all.
She got me tucked-up and left. I think.
I may still be asleep. Not sure.
Cats.

Go back to sleep dearie, you’re dreaming.</Grandma Voice>
smart … i have a hospital go-bag that has a copy of my fact sheet [name, address, contacts, all my past and present doctors, hospitals, procedures, meds, pharmacies used and all sorts of contact information.] I have a 1 week plaque of meds, and a spare diabetic shot kit that I just grab a virgin vial out of the fridge, an unopened gel eyedrop and an unopened plain saline eyedrop, and an unopened nasal saline spritz, and a selection of carb or protein snacks, 2 thin cotton ugly plaid dorm pants, 2 tank top long bamboo vicose sleep shirts and light shoes. I also have a spare wall wart and 10 foot android charging cable for my phone and tablet. I pretty much go nowhere without my phone, and if the place has wifi I have mrAru bring my tablet to me.
last hospitalization back in December, for breakfast I had 2 pieces toast [they had rye bread =) ] with 1 apple sauce and 2 fried eggs, they managed to get it to me sunny side up with still almost runny yolks. Lunch was almost always a club sandwich with a garden salad, italian dressing, and dinner tended to be the penne with plain tomato sauce and shavings of real parmesan cheese, another garden salad and I had mrAru bring me a tub of hummus and pre fixed celery and carrot sticks that I used as morning and evening snacks fresh every day. I want to go back to Yale-New Haven, the food there is fantastic, and they provide hummus, or cottage cheese or real not chemically yogurt as snacks all the time.
I would kill for no food allergies. I sat down with one of the actual cooks and went over my allergies and they told me they could not guarantee no mushrooms or palm products in anything except what I ended up eating all the time sigh
yum? I actually like cabbage with balsamic vinegar, butter and salt.
BEcause of where i was being irradiated for cancer, I had an impromptu brazillian [the back half is now permanent, apparently.] I also had a killer base tan on my butt and inner thighs, I asked but they would reaim the radiation to even out my tan =(
I have a firm schedule of all my medications written as a medical prescription by my doc, and I always bring in my medications [back when I was finished adjusting my BP medications, if I did not get them within 15 minutes of specific times, it would go out of whack] and I deal with my own medication and glucose monitoring, I adore the Freestyle Libre sensor for being able to get pretty much constant readings without always stabbing myself!
I am not on a statin and I love grapefruit juice, I will gladly take all of yours, do you want that insipid nasty apple crap they keep trying to give me?
Swear I don’t remember posting. Sorry to call you ‘Dorky’, didn’t mean it in a derogatory manner, (I think)
Pets are happy to see me. Got up to eat and all 4 are following me like baby ducks. So cute. Bear is the most worried. He keeps watching me with a worried look. I told him I’m all better. He’s not so sure. His tail has been puffy off and on.
Mr.Wrekker came thru and asked was I good. I said “yes”, So he went to eat at the deer camp. He’ll be back to sleep at home.
So, so happy to be back home!
Thanks all you guys for taking this journey with me. My 10ft tall Doper courage and my DIL got me through it.
Love you guys!!

Couldn’t bear to read it all through, Becks, but glad you’re jailbroke.
Take care of yourself, hear?
PS - soon as you mentioned guy in a suit I thought:
Lawyer
Beck and the Wrekers have been raising hell to make sure she gets good care.
Shouldn’t have to be that way.
Band name!
