Let's Talk Ice

Ove lunch, me and My co-workers were having an extremely serious discussion about the ice that gets put into soft drinks. We were debating what was te best ice to encounter. We identified the following types:

Half-Moons - This ice looks like someone took a cylidner about an inch long that has been sliced in half (hence, the half moon profile). Not bad if you like to suck on your ice since it fits well with the countours of the roof of yor mouth.

Tubes - These are actually cylinders with the centers “drilled” out. Also the edges are rounded. Probably very good for keeping the drink cold, since it has a high ice surface to drink ratio. FUn to suck on sine you can suck air through te tube.

Cubes - the “standard”. A lot of these actually have a indentation on one face, kind of like the punt you see on the bottom of a wine bottle. I am pretth “meh” about these, in fact I think these cubes tend to leave a lot of residual soda in the indentation when you get toward the end of the drink. Soda that you cannot easily get at with your straw.

Curshed - My personal favorite but loathsome to others. I just like getting some ice with my drink, and at the ned you actually get a kind of snow cone thing going on.

Sheets - Not too common, these are what appear to be actual smallish (although they can be one or two inches on a side), thin sheets of ice. I do not like these at all, they don’t seem to work well with the whole soda drrinking process if you do not like to use a straw (my preference), as the sheets can actually block the soda.

I doubt we covered the ice universe, what ma I missing?

Spheres.

Just a cube variant, though.

You forgot Hyper-cubes, the kind the suck up all your soda when you’re not looking.
