It’s hard to state a case that Osama was a force for world peace, some may argue that by conquering the world he may have achieved that, but barring that he spread hatred and fear. These karmically do not equate to peace and never will.
Now that he is removed, the USA’s role can be great diminished as a sign of this, demilitarizing the area and a reduction in arms to the level of a standard country no longer a super power. A freeing of the enemy combatants in Gitmo and other places. And a clear message from the US that their role as a superpower has been fulfilled and is no longer needed and a deep apology for all the harsh handed tactics of the past.
Horrible idea. The Super Power Genie has been out of the bottle since 1945. We have nukes. We have stealth technology. We have aircraft carriers. We have smart bombs. Most importantly, we have the unique ability to project force anywhere in the world, at any time. Giving all of that up in pursuit of some hippy-dippy “Teach the world to sing” pipe dream would be batshit insane.
What “area” are we supposed to de-militarize? Area 51?
And while I am fascinated by your theory that the demise of Osama removes all threats to world peace other than the U.S., it’d be fun to know by what karmic rationalization you have arrived at this conclusion.
Area would be the world including orbital platforms and the like and yes area 51 would make a great world public park.
The karmic cycle is the US used bad karmic stuff to extinguish bad stuff. The karmic debt for the US for its superpower status is enormous, and can never be paid. This will cause the collapse of the US anyway if we try to continue, but a change of heart for the good will avoid some karmic charges (this is the whole Jesus thing) and eventually pay off the debt that we can never do. So the reform of the US would be needed and this is a great point to admit we are done being mean.
Bullshit. We have enough Karmic Crapola from WWII to carry us for centuries, before even scratching the surface of our Good Freaking Vibes from winning the Cold War, or saving Kuwait, or various and sundry other Happy Happy Joy Joy things we’ve done.
The world is not going to suddenly become a safe place if the U.S. unilaterally disarms. If we ever were that unimaginably stupid, we’d likely be enslaved by China. Or Iran. Or whatever other powers may rise to fill the void we created by holding hands and putting damn flowers in our hair.
The only way the world can truly have peace is a world government. Perhaps we must await Christ to return for such unity but as we must strive until that event, a conservative, constitutional, decentralized world government must be established before a socialist technocracy under the PRC or the liberal paraidse of a global European Union is established.
I’ve seen it, it is exactly as stated. The meek will be guides and caretakers for mother earth’s children which is their inheritances, both in this life and the next. They will be one with mother earth, one with the wild animals and be her child. She will reveal the secrets of medicines and provide food and waters without labor. This is all part of the plan for peace.
So Osama failed to achieve peace only through lack of conquest?
Obviously what the U.S. needs to do instead of disarming is conquer the world and achieve peace that way.
Or instead of either ridiculous extreme, concentrate on using its power wisely to reduce the negative impact of Bad People and promote Good Things.
I am not going to ask where kanicbird has “seen” the meek inheriting the earth, though if he has discovered a new and powerful mind-altering substance the least he can do is share the secret.
For many years now, Osama has just been a figurehead rather than being actively involved in planning terrorist operations. Now he is a martyr for the cause. I don’t think his death really changes much. The various arab revolts underway are of far greater consequence. I just hope the replacement governments are less corrupt than the current ones.
