Is there any relation between Levi Strauss jeans and anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss?
Well, there is always the possibility that they were shirt-tail cousins, but Levi Strauss was a nineteenth century American and Claude Lévi-Strauss was a twentieth century Frenchman.
Had Levi Strauss been born after Claude, it might have been possible that he had parents with a nasty since of humor (or whatever it was that possessed the parents of Armand Hammer).
Since Lévi-Strauss was that gentleman’s last name, I would guess that you would have to go back many generations into Germany or Austria to find a connection.
(Watch someone show up with proof that they were close cousins, or something.)
Tom~
I heard they were evil twins.
Well, only one was an Evil Twin - the other was just a twin.
Okay, up against the wall, the both a youze…
