If you check the thread you linked to, you’ll see that I didn’t participate in that discussion. I was completely unaware of these statements from Chaim, and now that I’m aware of them, I’ve posted an apology and a retraction in the appropriate thread.
Rather than repeating this claim over and over again, I’d rather you instead addressed the argument put forth by hardcore and myself. (Specifically, the argument about executions in Texas.)

So if you’re “not-pldennison”, and somebody is using Hitler’s rhetoric to justify genocide in GD, and you ask why we should view that as being any less offensive than the original Nazi rhetoric, that’s bad.
But if you’re pldennison, and some people in MPSIMS gets so steamed over the mistreatment of a child that they suggest- maybe in jest, maybe not- that people shouldn’t be allowed to have kids unless they’re competent to raise them, and stress that they’re only talking about competence, not about genetics… why, obviously you have to declare that they’re indistinguishable from Nazis!
Well, it’s no wonder that pldennison said that I’m the only one who thinks his attacks on me totally backfired! It’s all become quite clear to me now!
I said in your GD thread that I was going to drop it from this point forward, Ben. If you’d really like me to keep going, I will. It’s up to you. Just say the word.
I’d also like to note that the post to which Boris B. linked was two years old. That’s a pretty long way to go to make a point, IMO.
I have a better idea. The next time you decide to make a criticism of me, think carefully about whether it’s on target. That way, you won’t look like you’re out to get me at all costs when you misconstrue anti-creationist comments as being broadly anti-Christian. If you can do that, I don’t think we’ll have many problems.
Well, as someone who hasn’t made any “Nazi-baiting” remarks, Ben, I found your comment to Chaim uncalled for yet entirely consistent with your previous posts.
The question isn’t “uncalled for.” The question is whether it serves as evidence for pldennison’s accusations against me. Fenris found my comparison offensive, but he doesn’t claim it makes me the “Great Satan of the SDMB” (as Hardcore summarized pld’s arguments.)
Here’s one of the things pldennison said:
“Here are your cites. I don’t expect you to admit you’re wrong–you’re so hell-bent on making Chaim Keller into a homophobic bigot that nothing, at this point, could possibly dissuade you.”
That more or less encapsulates his argument- he argued that I was interested in smearing Chaim, and found homophobia to be a useful brush to do it with, and that the real facts of the case didn’t matter to me. Do you agree with his assessment?

Just out of curiosity, I have a question for the mods: is it possible for someone to request that another person’s thread be shut down, just because they don’t like people talking about them in the Pit?
