Liberty Meadows comic strip

Not that I’m a fan of it or anything, but occasionally I read it. I’ve noticed that one of the characters - the buxom Brandy – sometimes wears a tee shirt with “Beltsville” on it. Anyone know why? I live in Beltsville, Maryland – that’s why I’m curious about it. Does he use the names of other towns?

Search engines, my friend! At the Frank Cho Fan Page , we learn that ol’ Frank is a University of Maryland alum who grew up in Beltsville.

We also learn, in case you care, he will be at the UM Bookstore on Dec. 7.

P.S. Did you know that when we die, good people go to heaven and bad people go to Beltsville?

Livin’ on Tums, Vitamin E and Rogaine

No, Manhattan, didn’t know that – I thought bad people went to N.Y. Not a fan of the strip, and this wasn’t exactly keeping me awake at night, so it didn’t occur to me to check for a web site. Yeah, the Univ. of Md. is within spitting distance, but I’ve no desire to meet Frank. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

No, New York is where we bad people are before we die. Sorry if you found the joke offensive. I’m from Laurel, and grew up hearing it about there (and about my second home, Glen Burnie).

Livin’ on Tums, Vitamin E and Rogaine

I have never read the comic. Never even heard of it. I might have to look for it though. I read what the guy had to say, he is really funny.
here is a favorite sample. Where he is talking about things that have been censored by the syndicate.

He definitely has a John Hart grudge. I didn’t realize that he was a born again Christian (Hart). I always noticed the Christian imagery, I just thought it was always there, apparently, just 10 years ago it started, same time as his rebirth.

Oh, well, thanks for a fun link, manhattan.
