License info in registry for Windows 2003 Server

Quick question to any MCSE types out there…where in the registry is the license key for Windows 2003 Server? I have a customer who has a Windows 2003 Server, has the media but doesn’t have the key codes anymore (‘You need to keep those???’) for the 5 servers they have. I need to re-install one of the servers but I have no idea what the license key is…and don’t really feel like going to MS to have them look it up if I can help it. I seem to recall that the information is in the registry somewhere, but I don’t recall where exactly (hkey_local_machine somewhere I’m guessing). If anyone knows off the top of their heads it would save me a ton of time looking it up when I get to the customer site.

Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder v1.51 will locate and display the product key for Server 2003.

Excellent! Thanks much Fear…appreciated.

The download portion of the link doesn’t work though. I’m getting a file not found.

I was able to download from that link. If still no joy, the older versions are on this page, they will probably do what you want.

Ok, thanks Fear. I’m at the customers site so I’ll try the link…if it still doesn’t work I managed to google up a few non-freeware type alternatives.
