Maybe it’s been asked before, and maybe it’s the wrong forum, but I’ll take a stab at asking it anyway…
What was life like for the average “man on the street” South Vietnamese citizen, after the communist takeover? Worse, better, or same-same? Was it a good-hearted “socialist paradise”, or just a “Stalinist police state”?
