I know what you mean about the trees, too. I’ve never seen Vermont, but Michigan has some kick-butt fall colors. Gorgeous stuff, that.

Jim, I’m not even 21 yet. That’ll be another cause for celebration, in 57 days, I can actually go out at night after 10:00 and get in without a dorky X on my hand. Yah!

Actually, I was just in Vermont this weekend for an Esperanto gathering in Ludlow. The colours were outrageous, but what really got me were the stars.
The colors here in Connecticut are just starting to get good.
Oh, my, yes. There is nothing - nothing - like a clear night far away from any cities, when the sky is just awash with stars. You can make out the plane of the galaxy, and as you stare longer at different places in the sky, more and more stars appear. I can look up at a sky like that for hours, letting my mind probe the edges of time, and distance, and silence. That’s the sort of thing that reminds you why you’re alive.
Life is indeed wonderful; I’m so happy for you Swiddles.
My life is incredibly blessed, and all the valleys serve merely to accent the peaks. Happy Sigh

Yea, the stars are killer here. Especially in the middle of the state, here in Burlington we’ve still got a bit of interference from Montreal’s lights.
