Oh no!
Boo.

Oh no!
Boo.

Sometimes Og can be a downright prick doing such things.
I teared up a little reading the post of Shemar passing to the next life because it made me think of when my old bat of cat finally shuffles off. There will many tears that day.
I’m so sorry. He was such a little cutie.
There’s a special place in heaven for people like you who would sacrifice time and sleep to care for an abandoned kitty the way you did. What could have been a terrible awful little life you made warm and loving and comfortable and happy.
I’m terribly sorry for your loss. At least little Shemar had a loving home during his short stay in this world.
I’m sure you gave Shemar the best life he could have had. Forgive me for broaching a delicate subject but you might want to take the body to the vet, to make sure he doesn’t have anything that your other kitties could catch.

I’ve been where you are now, and I am so very sorry.
I’m so sorry to read this, pinkfreud. Somehow I missed the beginning of this thread last week. He was a beautiful kitty.
I’m glad to see that Dali and Henry appear to be thriving, though.

I’m sorry to hear this too. He was a little charmer. Rest in purrs indeed, Shemar.

Ohhhh, I’m so sorry to hear that. He was a little charmer all right, and you did give him the best life he could have had.
Pinkfreud, you have our sympathy. We’ve done this many times with kittens as young as 3 days and haven’t lost any yet. Counting the older ones too, we’ve kept about 25 and placed over 50. We have 14 right now (I think), all now in good shape.
It’s a great thing to do! You should keep doing it!
Cats are our friends, and our species bred their species to be somewhat dependent on us. It’s only fair. They love us.
Did you rub his butt with a warm wet washcloth to make him go? They usually need that. Gives you more appreciation for what a mother cat does. There are so many specific things they need. Do you have good books on the subject and all? So few people are willing to take this on. So many cats could have lives that are so much happier, so much less frightening and painful and short. I hope you keep trying.
Helping many of them is a perfect remedy for the heartache you have when one dies. Love and good luck!
So sorry.
I lost one of my foster kittens last weekend. It’s sad.
But overall the rewards outweigh the sadness. Don’t be afraid to keep on.
