Life of Brian Re-Release

“Behold the gourd…”

“No!! The Shoe! The Shoe!”

Yes, and he (George Harrison) also appeared in stage with them, as a mountie in the Lumberjack Song.

This movie is the favourite of most of the Pythons, and it’s the favourite Python movie in Europe, I think that in the US people prefer The Holy Grail. (I prefer the Holy Grail myself.

My favourite bit in this movie is the graffiti and of course the ending, I think it has the most satisafactory ending a comedy could wish for.

PS: I think the Hioly Grail eas also re-released in 2001

“Well, apparently he’s going to inherit the earth.”

“Did anyone get his name?”
Just the other day at a meeting someone asked, “What has the such-and-such department ever done for us?”

So who do you think raised his hand and said timidly, “The aqueduct?” Nobody got it.

Anyway, this is pretty cool news. I’ll enjoy seeing this one on the big screen again.

Oh this hurts… screamed in greatest pain and now howling like a wolf to the moon My Secret Weapon against Boredom and Depression. My Life Compagnon. My Fish in the Desert… Thrown at the US’ers as if it is nothing.

Pain… I can’t describe this unbearable pain. In my despair I try to sing and finally my voice comes back and the words hit my ears: Always look at the bright side of life.

As always this heals my suffering instantly.
Yes, I suffered as if it was it nothing and survived. Hence you may flock to Life of Brian and adore it.
**Do not say “I don’t like it”. **
Salaam. A

Well, obviously it’s not meant to be taken literally - it refers to all manufacturers of movies about Jesus.

Quit picking your nose!

Crucifixion? Good. Out of the door, line on the left, one cross each. Next!

I’m still waiting for the sequel: The Adventures of Biggus Dickus

…and his lovely wife Incontinentia Buttocks!

Ahh, what’s so special about the cheesemakers?

Well, obviously, this is not meant to be taken literally. It refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.

I think Life of Brian is the best Python movie, by a wide margin. I liked The Holy Grail, but it had a few bits that didn’t work all that well, and it wasn’t as coherent in its lunacy as Life of Brian.

Do not tempt him, shallow ones! Is not the miracle of the juniper bushes enough?

They’ve brought forth juniper berries!

Brian: Of course they have, they’re juniper bushes!

Hail, Messiah!

Guess I’m not the only one.

I hope they make 250 million dollars on this welease.

I hope that CNN and Fox and all the news stations give daily Box Office Intakes on their programs for the amount of money that this Classic has made for the first two weeks after its release.

I hope they make money shilling commerical tie-in’s like gourds and shoes to be worn around the neck as a statement of the absurbity of it all.

There should be Dopefests held around the screening of this film. Especially in Ireland where it was banned, which I did not know, until recently.

There should be rejoicing everywhere.

And pie.

This is me= when I read the OP. Not fear, good people… pure stunned shock and amazement. I WILL be seeing this fine film in the theater, oh YES!
But I will be flogging myself soundly for having missed the Holy Grail re-release in 2001. Unless someone lied… then I’ll just flog myself lightly.

“I’m warning you. If you say ‘Jehovah’ once more-- Right. Who threw that? Come on. Who threw that?”

“Stop! Stop, will you?! Stop that! Stop it! Now, look! No one is to stone anyone until I blow this whistle! Do you understand?! Even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say ‘Jehovah’.”

Personally, I like a nice halibut.

“Alms for an ex-leper?”

Orlandopers- anyone up for a group trip to the movies?

I will most definitely be going to see The Passion of the Brian.

One of my favorite all time movies.

Theurely that’th “The Python of the Chritht”, Pontiuth?

Now that’s a good idea. If they release it here I will try to organise a fest around it. BTW it was out on video as I rented it when I was quite young and then taped it off TV learned the script off by heart etc you know the drill but it was just banned in the cinema. Still idiotic and frankly quite embarrassing to this Irishman but luckily the days when the catholic church and lobby basically ruled this country are over now. Thanks be to god

If it does happen I’ll try to do something to remember you at the fest. I’ll let you know.
