Dignan:
Quit picking your nose!
I wasn’t picking my nose.
I saw this on Fox news last night, I was wondering why they had scenes from the Life of Brian. I thought they were saying something about how bad the film was or something, but they seemed to like the idea that the movie was coming out again. I can’t wait to see it in the theaters.

Oh, yes, I liked these news. The timing adds such delicious malice to it.
“All right, BESIDES the aqueduct, and the roads, and the post office, and the theatre and sanitation…”
And in turn, in tribute to that, the surviving Pythons did the Lumberjack Song at the “Concert for George” in 2002.
“'Who are you??!!”
“We are three wise men.”
“What??”
“We are three wise men!”
“Well, what are you doin’ creepin’ around the cowshed at 2 o’clock in the morning?? Doesn’t sound very wise to me!”
This is indeed great news!
The thing I liked most about this movie is the perspective it places on any religion, just the absurdity of the whole concept.
“You know what the penalty is for 'arboring a known criminal?”
“No.”
“Crucifixion!”
“(Nonchalantly) Oh.”
“Nasty, eh?”
“Could be worse, could be stabbed.”
“Stabbed?? Takes a second! Crucifixion is a slow, 'orrible death!”
“Well, at least it gets you out in the open air.”
I hope they market it with the original 1979 tagline:
“See the movie that’s controversial, sacrilegious, and blasphemous. But if that’s not playing, see The Life of Brian.”
Heh
The Life of Brian Dopefest is a splendid idea! We shall have one in Memphis.
I’ve been whistling this ever since I heard the news.
The perverse side of me is now tempted to go see The Passion of the Christ and whistle it.
I haven’t seen this movie since its initial release in 1979. Recently, I’ve been tempted to buy the DVD, but this is even better!
“I am *not * the Messiah!”
"I say you are , Lord. And I should know, I’ve followed a few. "
Oh, it’s the meek! Blessed are the meek!
Oh, that’s nice, isn’t it? I’m glad they’re getting something, 'cause they have a hell of a time.
“You lucky bastard!”
I saw a bit of the Micheal Palin prog Sahara tonight and he was in the place where they filmed much of LoB … “over there’s where we did the stoning”
“Are there any women here?”
Judith “But we can support his [Stan’s] right to have a baby ”
“I’m not oppressing you Stan. Where’s the fetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?”
Crucifixion? Yes
Crucifixion? Yes
Crucifixion? No, Freedom…
Freedom?.. Nooo… Just kidding, Crucifixion…
