Well, maybe it wasn’t what he did that saved her - maybe, unlike every buddy cop movie ever, some other officer saved her while Our Hero was in a coma because he’s not the only competent cop on the force. Maybe that just happened to be the moment she walked into his hospital room and got a word with him.
I like that we don’t know if it’s sci fi (complete with changing clothes?!) or psychological. It’s like a whole show of Normal Again. But yeah, I keep having to flip my S.O.D. settings, too. Delightfully frustrating!
Well, the fact that the apartment building he was crossing to had a sign in front saying it was built in 1973, and he was listening to Bowie’s Hunky Dory on his iPod seconds before getting hit by that car makes it easy to assume he’s just imagining all this. Especially since the very first case he works on has a direct tie-in with the case he was working on back “up-time”.
I think it’s still pretty up in the as to whether he is crazy, in a come, or a real time traveler. I know how they resolved the BBC series, but this is American TV. If it’s popular this could go on for three or four years longer than the original series, and would have to deviate form their ending.
