I saw that tutorial a while ago. I have hollowed out one bulb and have saved a bunch of others to hollow out. I have some big ones from surgery lights that I think will make better terrariums. But I haven’t planted any yet.
By the way, if you like that sort of thing check out instructables.com for other ideas.
