My Parents were actually a little hip and enjoyed the Limeliters, Tijuana brass, etc.
So, I have several Limeliters CDs that I bought. One is “The London Concert”, in a combo CD set called “Two Classic albums from the Limeliters”.
Track 10 is a song they did a lot- "Hey Li lee li Lee" , where the audience sings alongs and supplies little two line riming couplets.
*"I Know a gal who lives on the Hill…
She wont kiss me but her sister will!"*
However, halfway thru and to the end there are 3 or 4 couplets supplied by the audience i cant make out. Maybe it’s my hearing, maybe it’s the British accents, maybe it’s my Sound system. Or maybe it’s the recording and I am out of luck.
Assuming it’s the “hearing, British accents,or my Sound system” can any SDMB make out what the audience participants are singing?
It’s really hard to tell from a post that contains no links to the music whatsoever.
The mind just flashed to ZZ Top and “Tube Snake Boogie.”
But that is neither here nor there. Carry on.

The next one is people singing over each other - can’t make it out at all
“You can sing as soft as you like”
“We had ??? with Al and Mike?”
Then the fella doing the song in operatic style.
Best I can do. Rest assured it’s not your ears or sound system, it’s a pretty murky recording in places

Yeah I got that first one. It was the others i couldnt make out.

Ah, yes, that’s right. I’d never heard of the Smothers Brothers, but that crowd certainly would have.
The second one sounds like “But we had booze with Al and Mike,” but I wouldn’t swear to that in court.
